The car gear oil should have a proper degree of motion to ensure a good lubrication. Most of the car gears are in the condition of mixed lubrication and distance lubrication, mainly the oil film of oil-based agent and the reaction film of extreme pressure anti-wear agent act, and then reduce the amount of wear loss to avoid the tooth surface scratch and sintering under high load conditions. The lubrication and extreme pressure anti-wear properties of gear oil should be determined by four ball extreme pressure testing machine or bench test in addition to the motion tolerance. The four ball method is used to carry out the simulation test on the four ball extreme pressure testing machine to determine the bearing capacity of the lubricating oil. Through the test, it is concluded that the goals of Lirun Hudan oil are as follows: no seizure load, sintering load and generalized wear value. Under the test conditions, the steel ball will not be jammed. The high load, i.e. no jammed load, indicates the oil film strength of the lubricating oil, and the oil film can be maintained between the surfaces of the ball under the load. Under this experimental condition, the low sintering load of the steel ball, i.e. the sintering load, indicates the interval operation ability of the lubricant. The general wear value is equal to the mathematical uniform value of several proofreading loads, which indicates the uniform anti-wear performance of lubricating oil in the whole process from low load to sintering load.

　　Replacement of gear oil

　　1. Screw out the plug of the oil level inspection hole to check whether the oil level reaches the regular oil level and whether the scale at the edge of the inspection hole is between 0-15mm. Assuming the lack of oil, gear oil should be replenished to make the oil level reach the full scale and check for oil leakage.

　　2. When replacing the gear oil, start the vehicle first, rotate or travel a certain distance to make the transmission gear oil warm up. When the gear oil is still warm, screw the screw plug of the oil drain hole to drain the gear oil. When reassembling the oil drain plug, pay attention to that the oil drain plug of some models is magnetic. Remove the iron powder adsorbed on the plug, and then screw it on firmly. Then join in the new gear oil meeting the requirements until the gear oil overflows from the oil level inspection hole, and install the inspection hole plug. There is no need to replace the transmission gear oil of some types of vehicles, such as Jetta car. Just check whether there is leakage. If there is leakage in the transmission, correct the leakage and add gear oil.
